Presenter: Dr. Péter Molnár

Dr Péter Molnár completed his studies in Hungary with an MSc in horticulture. In 1993, after working at the Tokaj Research Centre, he started his doctoral studies and in 1999 he became a doctor of agriculture, specialising in viticulture. He has been the managing director of Patricius Tokaj since 2000. He is responsible for the management, viticulture and oenology of the winery. From 2008 to 2011 he was the president of Tokaj Renaissance – Union of Classified Vineyards of Tokaj, working on the regional promotion and origin protection of the Tokaj wine region. Continuing this mission, since 2013 he has represented Tokaj on the board of the National Council of Hungarian Wine Communities, and since 2018 he has been the president of the Council of Tokaj Wine Communities. He is the head of the Mathiász Institute of Viticulture and Oenology at the University of Tokaj.
